Little Grand Canyon Marathon

Yesterday Tyler and Alicia ran Little Grand Canyon Marathon in Huntington Utah. Tyler has been having knee problems and so he was not sure if he was going to run this one. He decided to go ahead and run it anyway a couple days ago (this was the one he WON last year). I was not going to go down with the boys, since it is a couple hour drive and we would have to get up early. When Tyler decided he was going to run, I decided it would be fun to take the boys down and surprise him.  So he left at 3am and we left at 6 am. Once we made it to the race course, G joined me in the drivers seat of the truck and waived at all the runners as we made our way to the finish line. We got quite a few happy waves back. First we surprised Alicia and G got a wet kiss from her.

Then off to find Dad.

As you can tell by the photo, Tyler was in alot of pain as we came across him at mile 20.

He was so HAPPY to see us, and surprised.

He said he was still going to finish and so we headed to the finish line to wait.

The shirts I had the boys wear for this race were very appropriate.

St. George in 3 weeks....then time to heal.
